Welcome to all Chancellor Institute Parents and Friends

Transitioning to college life can be a challenging and exciting time for both students and their parents. As your child embarks on this new chapter in their life, it’s important to provide them with the support and guidance they need to navigate the ups and downs of college life.

Chancellor Institute believes in helping to develop and support students to become not just practitioners but whole persons with strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. We do this through our pastoral care initiatives, open door policy, and commitment to life-long learning.

The parents and friends of our students are a key part of that journey.

One of the most important things you can do as a parent or friend of a college student is to encourage open communication. Make sure your child knows that they can come to you with any concerns or problems they may be facing. By maintaining a strong line of communication, you can help your child feel supported and reassured during this transition period.

Remember also to give your child space to grow and learn from their experiences. College is a time for personal growth and development, and it’s important for parents and friends to support their child’s journey towards independence. By offering guidance and encouragement, you can help your child navigate the challenges of college life and emerge as a confident and successful young adult.

To help you in this process, we invite you to download our free Parents Guidebook “The College Parent’s Survival Guide: Essential Tips and Resources.”
